About Marco Blasio

Marco joined the IBM Ecosystem Ireland in 2021, responsible for the entire IBM portfolio of Data, Artificial Intelligence and Business Automation Technologies. His role includes technology-advocacy and advisory on adoption/deployment/governance frameworks. Previously, Marco spent +24 years in the ICT Industry in several roles across Client Advisory, Business Transformation, Data Management, Governance, Risk, Compliance. Head of Data, Decision Science, Analytics & AI in 2 large Irish Banks and in the largest Loans Servicing Group in EU. Other Clients’ engagements included the creation of a Central Data Office, managing Data Privacy change programmes and advising on issues of Risk/Policy/Compliance. Alongside, Marco is Silver Member in the ISACA Ireland Chapter since 2016 and DAMA UK since 2011.

ChatGPT in 2022 democratized the use of Generative AI and since then we are witnessing growing concerns about the ethical use of AI to prevent possible impacts on humans and fundamental human-rights.
