Prior to her tenure at Canada Life Group, Jenni spent four years at EY as an IT Auditor and Risk Consultant. Jenni’s academic background includes an honours B.Sc. in Computer Science from University College Dublin (UCD), and she is presently pursuing a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity from the same institution.

NIS2 - Turning regulatory lemons into compliance lemonade

This session will explain what NIS2 is and how the new directive is going to impact in-scope organisations. It will dive into the current cyber threat landscape and why the second directive was necessary to improve the overall level of cybersecurity risk maturity. NIS2 introduces broader, more demanding and severe requirements then NIS-D.

The goal of new NIS2 is to harmonize the level of security across all EU member states. Article 21 of the directive details ten cybersecurity risk management measures that organisations must have in place by October 2024. To assist in the implementation of these measures’ recommendations based on NIST will be provided.
