Redefining the Financial Sector:Emerging Technologies & Regulatory- Driven ICT Relationships

In this session, we will explore how the rise of FinTech, andvance technologies, and IT infrastructures have transformed the financial sector for players, customers, employees, and stakeholders. Regulators, recognising the need for stronger oversight, have introduced regulations like NIS2, DORA in Europe, with other regions like UK following. These developments are reshaping relationships across the sector and the roles of employees, such as the expansion of third-party risk management teams with ICT expertise and the use of AI to manage questionaries from third-party providers, partners, and clients. However, the growing regulatory burden may pose challenges for smaller, innovative players, like startups, seeking to enter the market. What do you think the future holds?
