DORA: Interpreting the EU’s Digital Operational Resilience Act
DORA Now: The Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) went live on 17 January 2025. It aims to raise the bar across Europe (and elsewhere) in terms of IT security and digital operational resilience and preparedness. Organisations, especially financial entities, have been ramping up their preparation, implementation, and compliance activities for approximately two years or longer in order to be able to comply with the new DORA Rules.
DORA Everyday: DORA now means DORA everyday. Now that all of the prior implementation activities have concluded, what does DORA mean for everyday activities. The presentation outlines 10 new but lesser known everyday activities that should be in place for everyday business as usual activities and considerations.
DORA Horizons: DORA required significant, timely, and costly ramp up efforts by companies. For some those headaches have not yet receded. Yet, DORA is a great example of how even as new and bold technological capabilities arise on future horizons, rules such as DORA will continue to exist and be ever present. DORA is of course rules based, but it is also a mind set, pre-problem solving, and horizon resilient, regardless of what may come.
